Happy New Year!!

We celebrated the New Year in Dubuque, Iowa. My friend, Susie, got married at the Grand Harbor Resort Hotel. There is an indoor water park in the hotel, so the boys had a blast. Mom & Dad, Corey, Nicole & Owen, and Curt & Keri all went with us, so they could take the boys to the water park while Matt and I went to the wedding.

Former co-workers/friends - Sue, me, Elizabeth & Susie. We all used to work with Susie at the newspaper office. Susie now live and works in Dubuque, Elizabeth is a stay-at-home mom in Byron, and Sue & I continue to work at the paper. We all try to stay in touch as much as possible.

Karson loved the water park. He spent most of his time in the baby pool where he could splash and crawl around. The water was kind of cold, and Karson's hands & feet turned blue at some points, but he still didn't want to get out. Aunt Keri & Daddy took him down the big slides a few times, but he wasn't too sure about them.

Justin, on the other hand, absolutely loves the big slides. He went down each slide several times. There wasn't any lines, so he could go down them as fast as he could climb back up to the top again. He is definitely a water baby.

Karson's hands and feet would finally turn pink again after some time in the hot tub. Justin wants to go back to the water park as soon as possible, and I'm sure Karson does too.

Christmas in Sterling

Karson did not feel well at all for Christmas this year. He tried so hard to be happy, but the day after Christmas, he was sicker than a dog. He didn't eat or drink anything all day, and all he wanted to do was sleep. Poor guy!

Have you ever seen anyone so excited about getting a jar of cherries for Christmas? :-) Justin sure does love his cherries. When we go out to eat, he always orders a kid's water with cherries.

Christmas Fun

We had a great time in Iowa the week of Christmas. The boys wrestled...

Karson was exhausted from all the playing and gift opening...

Karson was actually sick for Christmas, but he was such a trooper. He did whatever he could to be happy. Poor baby!

Justin was lucky enough to go snow tubing behind Reed & Cade Kelly's 4-wheeler. Chad drove, and the boys took turns riding up and down the driveway. Needless to say, they had a great time. Justin wants to do it again as soon as possible.

Christmas 2010

Matt & I took the entire week before Christmas off work, so we were able to spend all week in Iowa. We started in Eldora, to celebrate with Corey, Nicole & Owen. The boys had a great time playing together, and they especially enjoyed reading books together.

Nana Cathy found matching pajamas that fit all three boys. I call them "Grandpa" pajamas because they look like little old man pajamas with the collar and buttons down the front. They have Christmas sock monkeys all over them, and the boys looked so cute wearing them.

Karson's favorite part about opening gifts was the paper and the boxes the gifts came in. He really didn't care what was in the packages, but he sure had a good time opening them.

Karson & Owen each got a Plasma Car from Nana Cathy & Papa Rick. Justin helped Karson ride it through Corey & Nicole's house. Justin really is the best big brother Karson could ever have. He is always helping him and encouraging him. Justin is definitely Karson's biggest fan. They have such a good time!

Can you tell that Justin was just a little bit excited to get an MP3 player for Christmas? Nana Judy & Papa Bud got that for him, and he just loves listening to Country music on it. We are raising him right. :-)
